Fees & Materials

Full-Time Students

Tuition:

  • Vista Virtual School does not have fees for tuition or materials associated with our full-time students.

Materials & Material Returns:

  • All materials must be returned within 90 days of the course expiry┬ádate or completion in reusable condition, otherwise, fees for damaged or unreturned materials will be charged.
Part-Time Students

Tuition:

  • Vista Virtual School does not have fees for tuition associated with our part-time students.

Materials & Material Returns:

  • All required materials for part-time students’ course(s) have a caution fee that is 100% refundable when materials are returned to Vista Virtual School within 90 days of the course(s) expiry date or of being completed.
  • All required materials must be in reusable condition in order to receive a refund.

Extensions:

  • Extensions for our part-time students may be granted with teacher approval, upon presentation of a reasonable completion plan, and are at no cost.
  • Extensions for our part-time students are provided in one- and three-month increments (depending on the course credits taken), one extension at a time.
  • Extensions must be requested within six months of the course expiry or withdrawal date.
  • Students who turn 20 during the school year (after September 1) cannot have a course extended beyond August 15.
Adult Students (also see the Adult Upgrading section)
Tuition for Grade 10 to Grade 12 Courses $120.00 (per credit) - example: most adult courses are five credits, so that means it is $600 per course (not including materials or textbook fees)

High School Equivalency Application$100.00

Course Extensions:

  • Extensions may be granted with teacher approval, upon presentation of a reasonable completion plan.
  • An adult student may have a maximum of four course extensions per course.
  • Course extensions are provided in one- and three-month increments, (depending on the course credits taken), one extension at a time.
  • Adult students can extend their course(s) up to 18 months from the original date of enrollment.
  • Extensions must be requested within six months of the course expiry or withdrawal date.
  • Courses funded by the Skills Investment Bursary (SIB) cannot be extended beyond the Training Session End Date.

Material Returns:

  • Adult students may purchase required course materials from Vista Virtual School.
  • Required course materials are not refundable.

Prerequisites:

As an adult student, you do not require prerequisite courses, but you do need to show prerequisite skills.

If you do not have the prerequisites for a course you would like to take, you can show your prerequisite skills through a placement exercise.

By placing you in the best course for your skill level as demonstrated through a placement exercise, we are better able to help you succeed in your course.
