School Exams

Midterm and final exams can be scheduled once all assignments have been submitted and graded. Teacher approval is required to schedule appeal exams.

Students can schedule to write their exam in our Calgary campus. Some courses may have exams that can be completed with Proctorio, an online proctoring service. Students can discuss exam writing options and expectations with their teacher.

  • Photo ID is required for all supervised exams.
  • For 30-level courses, the course final exam and diploma exam are not the same; students must write both.

For more information about our exam policies, please see our Policies webpage.

Alternate (External) Exam Supervision

Students unable to write an exam in our Calgary campus, or through Proctorio, must arrange for alternate exam supervision.

  • Students must review the instructions listed in the Exam Supervisor Application Form below.
  • Students must then
    1. find a supervisor who meets the required qualifications.
    2. complete the Exam Supervisor Application Form – signed by the student, parent (where applicable) and the exam supervisor.
    3. submit the form, at least five days prior to the requested write date, to VVS Support.

Incomplete forms cannot be processed.

  • Once the requested supervisor has been approved, students will need to contact that supervisor to set up a time to write their exam.
