International Student Program
Vista Virtual School provides instruction of Alberta grade 1-12 curriculum to international students and children of Alberta families living abroad. These options have associated fees.
There are generally three situations:
1. Children of Alberta families living abroad
- An Alberta family is abroad temporarily and would like their children to continue receiving their education through the Alberta Programs of Study.
- VVS provides Alberta families living abroad with access to Alberta’s Programs of Study.
- Since there are numerous conditions and circumstances, it is best to speak directly with a school administrator regarding programs for students whose families are living abroad.
- Please refer to the contact us section.
2. Children of families without Canadian citizenship
- A family of non-Canadian citizens would like their children to receive their education through the Alberta Programs of Study.
- VVS accepts international students and will provide instruction for CA$200/credit.
- Services are limited to instruction and the related interactions between the teachers and their students. Additional school services (such as counselling) are not available to this group of international students.
- Families can register directly with VVS.
- Please contact us for support in registering.
3. Alberta Accredited International Schools (AAIS)
- AAIS can supplement their programming with opportunities offered through Vista Virtual School.
- VVS accepts international students who are enrolled in an AAIS and will provide instruction for CA$200/credit.
- Registrations are processed through the AAIS.
- Please contact us for support in registering.
