Learning Without Limits

Thank you to everyone who attended the Awards nights for the 2018-19 school year, and the 2019 Student Parent Teacher Interviews (SPTs). These events were well attended, and we’re already looking forward to meeting with you and touching base throughout the year.

For those taking Diploma Exams, make sure to check the official schedule posted by Alberta Education. Good luck with your exams!

Please note: because of Alberta Education updates to school division naming, our email addresses have changed from @phrd.ab.ca to @pembinahills.ca. Please update your saved contacts and ensure you are using our correct toll-free contact number 1-855-974-5333 (x5317). Make sure you are using https://vv-sis.phrd.ab.ca to log in to your courses.

We always welcome your comments. If you have any questions or concerns, please phone us toll-free at 1-855-974-5333 or talk with your teacher, and if you have any stories you’d like to share of your experiences with VVS—and how you balance your diverse needs or achievements (including winning awards, scholarships, etc.), contact Jay Zaal, our communications and marketing specialist.

Have a great November!

Sincerely,

Did You Know?

One of the best ways to know what is going on at Vista Virtual School (VVS) is to read this newsletter. VVS is your school and we are here to support you and your learning. As such, the newsletter is a required document sent to students each month with information about school events and activities—including deadlines, required activities, and opportunities.

You can view the newsletter online and in PDF format. Learn about activities and events that are provided throughout the year for students, and events such as Student Parent Teacher Interviews (SPTs) and Awards Nights that are important opportunities to engage with your teachers.

Another good way to make sure you do not miss events, deadlines or activities, is to visit the website often, and to follow our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Everything important is published online, in social media, and may also be sent to you by email.

It is important you stay in contact with your teachers, as they are always there to assist you with your coursework. So make sure to reach out through email, Google Hangouts, Skype or by phoning your teachers.
