Are you a student in grade 9-11? Interested in being a youth leader and mentor in the area of mental health? If so, the Alberta School Boards Association is offering the opportunity to learn from HEADSTRONG and to attend the Provincial Youth Mental Health Summit on June 3-4 in Red Deer.
Up to three students from our school division will be selected to attend and have their registration covered, including accommodations (transportation to Red Deer is not provided).
If you are interested in attending, please contact principal Mike Loitz before March 29.
The summit will see approximately 180 student leaders in grades 9 to 11 from across Alberta gather together to listen, learn, and collaborate to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Encourage an open supportive environment where youth feel able to Be Brave, Reach Out and Speak Up for mental health.
Continue the conversations on mental health and get involved!
