VVS Remembers

Remembrance Day is November 11, a Sunday this year. Campuses will be closed to observe the statutory holiday on November 12.

Please take a few moments—typically around 11 a.m. on the 11th—to remember and honour our veterans for their sacrifice and dedication. Remember those who have fallen, and those who continue to serve our country.

    The Act of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them.

The 11th of November marks the signing of the armistice, a peace agreement, between the Allies and Germany at Compiègne, France at the end of World War I. It is now observed as a national holiday in Canada for all remembrance.
