Our registration forms and inquiries are handled by real people who personally review every submission. Because of this, it may take a little longer to respond during peak registration periods, and we sincerely thank you for your patience. Students enrolled after the course start date must still complete by the end date. As courses are delivered asynchronously, students may begin after the official start date and still complete within the course timeframe.

Important Notice! Vista Virtual School registration forms cannot be accessed through another school division’s SchoolEngage or PowerSchool account (CBE, Rockyview, etc). Please follow the instructions below to register with Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD).

How to Register

1. Do you have a PHSD/VVS SchoolEngage account?

  • Yes – Log-in and continue to #3. Please do NOT create a new account. 
  • No – The parent, legal guardian, or student aged 18+/Independent must create an account using these instructions before proceeding to #2.

2. Add the student using these instructions

  • A parent/guardian SchoolEngage account can add multiple students. Please do NOT add duplicate students.

3. Click on the student’s name

4. Select the appropriate form:

  • Grades 1-9 Elementary/Junior High Registration Form
  • Grades 10-12 or Adult UpgradingIntake Form, then the Gr. 10-12 Registration Form for your student type
  • ESA Education Services Agreement (ESA) Form

5. Upload required documents:

Note: If you do not submit these documents, this WILL delay the processing of your registration form.

6. Complete and submit your registration form

  • For help completing the form, review this document.
  • Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • Processing may take up to 3 weeks during busy times.

7. Make payment, if required

  • Once approved, you will receive an email to complete payment within 72 hours.
  • For payment instructions, refer to this document.

8. VVS will complete your enrollment

  • You will receive an email with course access instructions.

9. Does the student already have a VVS Moodle account?

  • Yes – The student can login to Moodle using the credentials they already have.  See our Moodle Support documentation if you need to reset credentials. 
  • No – The student will be sent an email with their Moodle login credentials.

10. Your material order will be processed, if required

  • If you requested to pick up materials at the Calgary Campus, we’ll email instructions to book your appointment.
  • If you asked for materials by mail, we’ll email a tracking number.

How do I make a change to my SchoolEngage account? If you require changes to an existing SchoolEngage account, or need a new SchoolEngage account for an existing student, email us at vvsupport@pembinahills.ca. Please do not create another SchoolEngage account if one was previously set up or add a student that already exists.

How do I make a change on my registration form? If you need to make a change to a registration form that you have already submitted, please reach out to us at vvsupport@pembinahills.ca for assistance. Please do not create a new SchoolEngage account or submit another registration form.

Can I register after the semester start date? Yes, but you will have less time in the course, as all students must complete their coursework by the semester’s end date. If a student registers late, we recommend that they speak with their teacher regarding their timeline and how they can catch up in the course.

How do I know if my registration was approved? All updates regarding your registration will be emailed to the SchoolEngage account holder. Please check your email regularly to stay informed about the status of your application.

When will I get access to my course content? During peak periods, please allow up to three weeks for your registration to be processed. Once your application is approved and payment is received, your enrollment will be finalized. If you’re enrolled before the semester begins, your courses will appear in Moodle on the first day of the semester. If you’re enrolled on or after the semester start date, your courses will be available in Moodle within 24 hours of enrollment.

How do I add, switch or withdraw from my courses? If your registration form hasn’t been processed yet, please email vvsupport@pembinahills.ca with your request. If you want change your courses after you are enrolled, log-in to SchoolEngage. Click on your student’s name and complete the available Course Addition/Switch/Withdrawal Form.

NOTE: Changes to submitted course and material requests may result in a later course start date and less time to complete the course by the semester deadline. There is a $25 course switch fee each time a request to change courses is submitted.
