Summer School – Adult

Embrace the opportunity to elevate your education during the vibrant months of summer. Our specially designed courses are condensed to perfectly fit the summer term while upholding Alberta Education’s standards.

All VVS courses are asynchronous which means that students do not attend a class at a specific time, rather they complete their assignments according to the schedule outlined by their course teachers. This allows students to work at their own pace and around other commitments, while also having an outline to help them stay organized and motivated.

This unique summer offering is ideal for those looking to enhance their course grades, catch up on any courses they have missed, or prepare for upcoming diploma exams. It is the perfect blend of efficiency and excellence, tailored for adults seeking to achieve their educational goals in the midst of their busy lives.

WHO CAN ENROLL IN THE ADULT SUMMER SEMESTER?

The adult summer semester is intended for students 20 years of age, or older, as of September 1 of the current school year residing in Alberta at the time of registration.

Students 19 years of age, or younger, as of September 1 of the current school year looking for a summer school option are classified as school-aged students and should refer to our Grades 10-12 Summer School page.

  • You Must Have the Prerequisite Course Mark(s) on Your Detailed Academic Report (DAR): When registering, students must upload their DAR or provide an official final report card or transcript.
