JOIN THE MINISTER’S YOUTH COUNCIL!

The Minister’s Youth Council (MYC) is looking for new members for the 2023/2024 council!

What is the Minister’s Youth Council?

As defined on the Government of Alberta website, the Minister’s Youth Council, “consists of about 40 junior and senior high students with diverse interests, identities, backgrounds and perspectives from all regions of Alberta.”

Overall, the Minister’s Youth Council provides an opportunity for students to share their thoughts and opinions on various provincial programs and initiatives.

Who should apply?

Consider applying if you are:

  • A junior or senior high Alberta student (14 to 19 years old as of September 1, 2023).
  • Passionate about education.
  • Able to commit to three weekend meetings in Edmonton during the school year in the fall, winter and spring. Note: travel and accommodation needs will be booked and paid for by the Government of Alberta.
