Full-Time Programming

• Courses run September–June.
• Students are registered in all core courses – see our Course Catalogue
• Personalized Learning available for students requiring extra support.

  Asynchronous Online Learning

• Grades 1-3 work through print-based courses and submit assessments online.
• Grades 4-12 use online courses with some printed textbooks and materials.
• No live classes! Study any time of day.
• Submit assignments according to course timeline.
• Plan on spending 30 hours per week on school.

 Teacher Support

• Teachers work with students by email, phone, or virtual meeting during school hours.
• Academic Counsellors provide school support and guidance.
• Online Inclusive Education Support is available for eligible students.
• Parent/adult support is required to monitor coursework and help submit assignments.

Accredited by Alberta Education

• VVS is a public school under Pembina Hills School Division.
• ​Courses follow Alberta’s Programs of Study.
• Marks are reported to parents, guardians, and Alberta Education.

Courses & Materials
Tuition	No tuition fees for primary students
Textbooks & Materials	No cost – Required materials are loaned, but must be returned at the end of the school year in reusable condition. Students will be invoiced for the cost of replacing unreturned or damaged books.
Grade 1-6 PHSD Technology Fee	$20 per school year
Grade 7-9 PHSD Technology Fee	$35 per school year
Shipping Options
Ship Materials to Alberta Address	$25 per order On October 8, shipping fees increased from $20 due to the Canada Post strike and having to use an alternate courier.
Ship Materials to an Address Outside of Alberta	$25 minimum or full cost of shipping fees per order
Pickup Materials from Calgary Campus	No cost
